Rustic Meadows Campground was born from a simple conviction: the great outdoors deserves more than a cot and a fire ring. We believe a night under the stars should feel intentional — a place where the creak of a hand-finished cedar deck, the warmth of a cast-iron stove, and the hush of pine needles underfoot become part of the experience.

Located just off 180th Street in McGrath, our grounds span mature hardwoods and open meadow, offering both seclusion and easy access to the trails, lakes, and small-town charm that make central Minnesota unforgettable.

Our Story

Built Slow,
Meant to Last

Rustic Meadows began as a weekend escape — a plot of wooded land where a family could gather, disconnect, and remember what it felt like to truly be somewhere. Over time, that private retreat grew into something more: a place where guests from across the region come to experience the same unhurried rhythm we found for ourselves.

Every structure on our grounds is built from locally sourced materials. Every path is laid to preserve existing root systems. We don't manage a campground; we tend a landscape — and we invite you to do the same, if only for a night or two.
